The Annual Dinner 2026, the key social event of SCTE Benelux, took place this time at a historic location: the Royal Delft Museum in Delft. SCTE members were not only treated to an excellent four-course dinner, but were also able to take part in a guided tour.
Today’s digital infrastructure is stronger – and more vulnerable – than ever before. How can we ensure that every link – from deployment to security – remains resilient in a world full of emerging threats? This question was central to the Spring TechSummit of SCTE Benelux and partner organisation NLconnect. The theme of the event: Unbreakable Links: Securing Fibre Infrastructure from Build to Bit.
During this TechSummit, experts guided members through the latest technical insights, practical case studies, and strategic recommendations to make the fibre chain truly resilient. The afternoon began with a welcome lunch and a tour of the Experience Centre hosted by Netceed Netherlands in Breda. This was followed by three presentations.
Ruud Tilly (TKF Telecom Services and Secretary of SCTE Benelux) addressed the topic “Who is watching your infrastructure?”. Leon van der Valk (CISO, SPIE Nederland) spoke about information security in the supply chain. Finally, Sjaak Lemmers, Segment Lead Digital Trust at Nomios, took the floor. He zoomed in on the topic: “When quantum breaks the key: Is our cybersecurity ready for tomorrow?”
