On Wednesday, 5 November, the telecom sector gathered for TechSummit Autumn, a joint initiative by NLconnect and SCTE Benelux. The theme—“Green innovation: where technology and sustainability come together”—proved to be the common thread throughout an afternoon full of knowledge sharing, practical examples, and inspiring discussions.
On Wednesday, November 13th, SCTE Benelux and its partner NLconnect organized the second Tech Summit of the year at the innovative Allinq Labs in Harderwijk. The theme of the event was: 'Critical Communication Infrastructure Under Constant Threat. What is the Telecom Sector Doing?
During the Tech Summit, experts provided insight into the latest developments and challenges related to the security of critical infrastructure. Marco Boerman and Rutger van der Graaff from Allinq discussed strengthening infrastructure security through innovative solutions such as Listening Fiber, AR as a Security Toolbox, Smart Asset Management, and 3D BIM. In a second presentation, Wouter Arts from WTH Security B.V. shared his cybersecurity expertise by offering a glimpse into the life of a hacker, focusing on the top 10 most common penetration tests – an engaging session filled with humor and real-world examples.
The event not only featured inspiring talks but also provided a unique opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at Allinq Labs, followed by a networking reception to discuss the insights gained. A successful afternoon that clearly demonstrated how the sector is working on solutions for a future where the security of our communication infrastructure is at the forefront.
